Recycling!People say that there is not enough time in the day.I am sure that we all have used that line one time or another, but when it comes to recycling this is when it comes to mind (at least for me!) In our busy, hectic lives and days sometimes recycling is just considered one more thing I have to do! Believe me, I understand, and I have those thoughts also! But once I actually put my mind to it and remember to recycle all that I can throughout the day; then it becomes easier – now I just have to work on the rest of the family!! So turn in those bottles and cans – and recycle, recycle, recycle!!
I am trying to be so conscious of all the waste there is in our everyday lives! Here are a few of my thoughts on the subject and how to more diligent! Use canvas lunch bags instead of paper, bring your own bottle for drinking, if you have a library card try to use it instead of buying a book, for small items tell the supermarket cashier you do not need a bag, try using durable long lasting razors, pens, utensils, use cloth napkins, and drink out of glasses instead of plastic cups! If we all work on being aware of these things, then we will greatly help to reduce the waste in our environment! Repeat after me, waste reduction, waste reduction, waste reduction……!!!
Over 700 sites statewide participate in coastal clean up! now that’s what i’m talking about! over 1500 volunteers helping to protect marine life and keep the parks and beaches clean! disposing of trash, debris, and other waste washed up on beaches and tossed on the ground …..and you thought dumpsters were boring! look how they can help!
Using “dumpsters” to clean up the beach will help to ensure a longer survival for our wildlife! come on everyone!!! I think this is great and what a way to help save wildlife and the environment! It’s springtime and “dumpsters” are being used in many parts of the country for cleaning up trash washed onto the beach – old fishing line, abandoned lobster traps, used needles, bullets, clothing, you name it, it washes up! you can even have several containers and label each one for each type of trash and recyclable materials you want to remove! start your clean up……. “times-a-wastin!”
The previous owner of our house on North Hampton NH gave us the pleasure of cleaning up a lot of stored trash behind the garage. It is like metal scraps, bricks, old mattress, etc. I am trying to rent one of those big dumpsters/containers but cannot seem to locate one. Anybody have any ideas. Again, I live in Southern, New Hampshire. Thanks everyone.
